Entanglement and nonextensive statistics
It is presented a generalization of the von Neumann mutual information in the context of Tsallis’ nonextensive statistics. As an example, entanglement between two (two-level) quantum subsystems is discussed. Important changes occur in the generalized mutual information, which measures the degree of entanglement, depending on the entropic index q.
متن کاملNonextensive thermodynamics of a cluster consisting of M Hubbard dimers ( M = 1 , 2 , 3 and ∞ )
The thermodynamical property of a small cluster including M Hubbard dimers, each of which is described by the two-site Hubbard model, has been discussed within the nonex-tensive statistics (NES). The temperature dependence of the energy, entropy, specific heat and susceptibility has been calculated for M = 1, 2, 3 and ∞ (corresponding to q = 1) with the use of the relation between the entropic ...

The thermodynamical property of a small cluster including M Hubbard dimers, each of which is described by the two-site Hubbard model, has been discussed within the nonextensive statistics (NES). We have calculated the temperature dependence of the energy, entropy, specific heat and susceptibility for M = 1, 2, 3 and ∞, assuming the relation between the entropic index q and the cluster size N gi...

– We present an analysis of the statistical properties of hydrodynamic field fluctuations which reveal the existence of precursors to fingering processes. These precursors are found to exhibit power law distributions, and these power laws are shown to follow from spatial q-Gaussian structures which are solutions to the non-linear porous media equation. Over the past fifteen years, a nonextensiv...

Measurements in turbulent flows have revealed that the velocity field in nonequilibrium systems exhibits q-exponential or power law distributions in agreement with theoretical arguments based on nonextensive statistical mechanics. Here we consider Hele-Shaw flow as simulated by the Lattice Boltzmann method and find similar behavior from the analysis of velocity field measurements. For the trans...
